Why Make Your Own Essential Oil Room Spray
Making your own essential oil room spray is a great way to eliminate some harmful chemicals found in commercial room and fabric sprays. These sprays are full of toxic chemicals like: BHT, propylene glycol, linalool, and benzaldehyde. These toxic ingredients have been found to be neurotoxins, endocrine disruptors, and eye/skin/lung irritators and more. Essential oils are a welcome alternative for us to use instead of these synthetic fragrances. We can use these beautiful, natural fragrances that are straight from nature. They are clean and safe to use around people and pets. For this tutorial you will need: an 4 oz glass spray bottle, witch hazel, filtered water, and essential oils. You can choose a recipe from the collection below.
What you need:
Directions:
1. Measure out 1 oz of witch hazel to the spray bottle.
2. Add the witch hazel to the spray bottle of choice.
3. Add the essential oils to the spray bottle.
4. Top off the spray bottle with filtered water. (being careful to leave some space at the top for the spray top).
5. Screw on the spray top and shake gently to combine.
6. Spray it all around your room – enjoy!
