This homemade broccoli salad recipe with bacon will easily become a favorite! The perfect side dish for grilled meats! Many will appreciate this is a tasty gluten-free dish too!
I have been making this broccoli salad with bacon for years! I recently added shredded carrots to the recipe, and the end result is even more goodness in every bite. Not to mention the many vitamins and health benefits that fresh carrots supply. My son said this is “the upgraded version” of my broccoli salad – haha, I love how kids see things!! We love serving this as a side dish when we grill out. It is a cool and refreshing salad for the spring and summer seasons. And it isn’t too complicated to prepare – honestly, cooking the bacon is the most difficult part. Here is what you need to make this yummy broccoli salad:
- 1 pack of *bacon
- 1/4 cup diced sweet onion
- 1 large carrot
- 6-8 ounces of sharp cheddar
- 1 large head of broccoli
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoons cane sugar
- Salt and pepper
*I love to get our bacon from Butcher Box! This is a high-quality meat subscription that we receive every 8 weeks. To set up your own, and get a sweet deal on your first box, use my referral link here.
